I have in home scale, but seldom check my weight.
Today my girlfriend asked me what my weight is.
I said that maybe 108 pounds (last checked in November), but I have to check it out. I check it out and I am at 103.8
I was shocked, because I feel like gaining weight not loosing weight. I check it again and it was the same.
I eat a lot lately, so maybe stress related weight lost.
Would you like to exchange with me and give me some of yours?
I can take 4 pounds back...:)

I rarely weigh myself as I find that ir rarely changes. At Christmas I normally put on some extra pounds, but most people do, and then it normally falls off naturally over January.
In the summer I normally lose a few pounds, pobarly just because I am more active in the sun, and eat more salads and lighter, smaller meals.

You have reminded us (me too) about one of the most important issues i.e. gaining wait. We should be careful about our weight and should regularly check it...to see. if it is increasing.
Good Post!

I am skinner than you, because my bones are very small no matter how much I eat I will stay skinny and won't weight much. I am only 5ft not one inch taller. I was born like that, my mom was skinny like me before she gave birth. I could wear her clothes when she was my age, but I don't like the patterns and colors.
You have been busy lately and under a lot of stress. Forcing yourself is not worth it. I have a few things and a few people on my mind that I will do everything for, everyone and everything else is not a priority. This way even if I can't sleep until I'm finished, it's worth it. I thought you have NLP or something you can use.

You can have 4 of my pounds. Heck! Take 5 or 6. I won't miss them. I wish I could give my son a few of my pounds. He is getting way too skinny. He is 8 and he has lost 11 pounds in the past 4 months. he was kinda chubby before, but now he is getting too skinny.
I weigh myself once or twice a week. I guess hoping that the number had gone down. I know it hasn't, but I can be hopeful right?

The most important is being healthy ..also in the mental and spiritual .
I hope that you are healthy and physically well yourself and with God.
It is important to eat well, practice exercises and drinking much water, taking care of the mind and spirit of caring.
God Bless.

i only check it when i think of it and when i am somewhere that happens to have a scale handy (like a couple of weeks ago we were at friends for supper and last fall my dad was in the hospital...)
i try to eat healthy, so i dont really care what my weight is.

Nowadays never. When I was younger and on diet I would do it every week or so, to check my progress. It was a strict diet as I was a lot overweight and would lose 2 pound per week for about a month an then reducing to a pound or so. Eventually you start losing again more, think is some threshold. Hope you do well, best of luck.

I do not even have a scale. When I take the dogs to the vet, I step on that scale sometimes just to see what I weigh. I have never had to worry about my weight, but after turning 50 this year, my middle is slowly going away. I do not want to be one of those ladies that has no waist. You know the type, shaped like a box, but still small........I was always small 98 to 105. Now I think I am about 110. I need to start working out again. With my job as a realtor, I seem to never have enough time to do anything but work, eat and sleep!

How stressful can be to do realtor job on todays market...?

It can be very stressful. I think for the market being as poor as it is, I held my own pretty well. However, several times through out the year waiting on closings, I pondered a "real" job with benefits and a steady paycheck..........

I don't check my weight regularly but in fact I think I should do it more than anyone because my weight changes dynamically and I don't even know what it is most of the times :)

UGhh...I check my weight nearly everyday and make the biggest fuss when I lose or gain half a pound. LOL I know it is a bit extreme but I want to lose my chubby cheeks. I am 5'5 and weigh 123lbs. Maybe its the media thats making me think my face is fat...=P

I have a home scale too, but like you I don't weigh myself that much. I think the biggest hob of that scale is to weigh our baggage when we go on vacation LOL
As for pounds I don't think 4 pounds will make much of a difference to me, so I"ll keep them if you don't mind heheheheh

You are feeling pain of becoming slim and I am feeling pain of becoming fat. I want to become slim. My weight is 200 pounds. I use to take such diet that I should become a person with low wait. Last time I had lost 5 pounds with the help of balance diet but now I regained my lost weight which is not good and it made me worried. Your body does not allow you to become fat and my body system and eating habit does not allow me to become slim. We both are worried. We should keep the effort on, but we should not worry about.

i seldom do as well. i guess the less known the better! and i don't want to become like one of those obsessed people who fret about gaining 1 pound. I guess my body mass index is in the healthy range,, so as long as it is in that range i am not too bothered.
have you been very stressed lately? if so it might be good to take a break. not good to lose so much weight unknowingly!

Usually people are checking their weight when they feel they gain, not when they lose weight. I have times when I work hard too nd I lose weight, but I'm not worried. I know, and it was proved real that, when I change work routine, from being physiacally active to working mostly seated, I gain and then I'm worried. I was never worried about losing weight, as long as I know there will be times when I gain it back and more again.
