Okay first off everybody knows tom is a real person because he has been on tv for interviews about myspace and has appearing on many talk shows. But if you think about it how many people have made a profile, named it "tom", and took toms picture and made it their default and sent you a request. What im saying is tom can be a real person on myspace but at the same time he can have many copies of himself (spam) and they can all try to confuse you into sending your password over them so they can fix your profile, or add special features to only your profile.
The best and most fake spam on myspace is the "Private Friend Viewer". Now any common sense person would think to themselves how can somebody create something that can view a profile that is set to private, is that possible? Well NO is the answer, they wouldn't make a private profile setting if somebody could just get to your profile anyway. But besides all the spam and phishing sites myspace continues to update its site and remove profiles they believe are spam.

There are a lot of fake profiles out there. I think I even ran across a group of "Toms" and you can only join if you are a version of 'TOM'. Most people do it as a joke, but I didn't know people were doing it to spam. I never received a friend invite from 'tom' so I guess i never knew. But I've seen those fake phishing scams and I hope most people can avoid them. I DO NOT want my account hacked at all. I've changed my password several times to avoid that fact. The most common one is the fake login page. a lot of people don't pay any attention to that and give out their email and password. i've received a lot of comments and emails from my friends who's accounts have been phished. i can only warn them. but no matter what myspace does, someone always figures out something to get around it. damn hackers.

Thats interesting i didn't know there was a myspace group for poser tom's, but other than that the phishing needs to be put to an end or else myspace will just keep deleteing people's accounts who get hacked into.
