Does swimming make you taller?

That is a very interesting idea. I don't think there has been any studies on that aspect. But if it is true I think I would be swimming a lot more. I am 5 ft and 7 in. Would like to be taller but I don't think there is any way to make one self taller.

I have heard that astronauts are taller (and their muscles are weaker) when they arrive to Earth because there is no gravity in the space. I don't know very much about anatomy (only a little because my relatives are doctors) but maybe swimming does a similar effect to that. I really don't know if that's true but I have started to swim as much as I can, like 3 hours per day to try it out.

i've been swimming for a long time now, and i have not grown any taller at all...

The basic thing is that we move all of your parts while Swimming.It is another form of exercise.For me,its the best form of exercise.This frees our body parts which helps the proper growth of the body.Same happens if we perform Yoga.So the conclusion is that Swimming does not increase our height,it helps us in the proper growth of the body,physically,which we call increase in height.
