Taking into consideration the terms of pay, career development, management, incentives, location, shift, accounts, and other perks - which call center do you think ranks first?

I would say Convergys is one of the best call center. I've been with convergys for a year and a half and their training is really great. First, everyone will undergo communications training for two weeks. It will basically encompass you improving your accent, intonation, grammar, most especially the tense verb and subject verb agreement. There is a part of training wherein you will get to listen and discuss different diction/accent of the Americans from Southerner, African american and those that live in the other areas. You will also get to discuss American culture and how it differs from yours so you would have an idea as to how you'll deal with them. You will use an application for you to record your own voice as you read through a series of paragraphs prepared and get to see how your progress goes. The trainers are really great at Convergys and the means of training are incredible. You get to start on time and no second will be wasted. There are games too that are held that will still help you improve your vocabulary, diction and communication skills.
After two weeks of training (if you pass it), you'll undergo product training depending on what account you'll be under. This is basically more on the system navigation, product details and more on the specifics of the account itself.
In terms of location, the branches are on the central business district. Like for example in Makati. They also have a site in Alabang, Commonwealth, Ortigas and even in Cebu. I heard they are building a site in Bacolod too. Compensation wise, Convergys is not the highest but it goes on with the other companies. Benchmarking enough, I would say. But what I liked here is that even if you're on probationary period, you still get enjoy everything as what a regular employee already have like paid vacation leaves, sick leaves, health card and other benefits.
The shift will almost more on the nightshifts since we are following the US time zone as opposed to our time here in Phil which would be twelve a hours to fifteen hours ahead of the US. Some goes on dayshift too but expect a discrepancy in the pay since nighshifters get night differentials.. The perks also depend on the account itself. IF you go for sales, expect other good incentives. If you go for technical support, I heard they have some too. But talking about the company itself, you'll have a good record if employers found that you're from Convergys. Just my two cents. Cheers.
