Operating System(OS) is that software that runs constantly at the background of your computer. The common examples are Windows Vista, Widows Xp, Mac etc.
What is the OS on your computer?? Are you happy with its performance??
For me, my OS is Microsoft Windows Xp and I think I am able to get the optimum performance out of my computer with it. What's your opinion?

+Yes, I am agreed with you. I m specialized in XP customization and can very happy with xp performance. Much of software supports XP. Vista require 256 mb ram and much harddisk space, dvd drive for installation. Not much software supports vista. Macintosh is rarely used OS, Linux is the OS which is used highly after windows due to free licence and durability.

Windows XP is one of the best OS that I have ever used. However, my new laptop was shipped with Vista Basic and when I tried to change to XP, some of the hardwares was not designed for XP... duh... so I upgraded to Vista Ultimate. It has been fine so far but it takes lots of resources from the processor.
