Below are lists of movies that has a japanese and hollywood version. if you have watch both version the better coz you can differentiate the two. i know that the movie The Eye (english version)is just showing, maybe you can differentiate either. The ring = (japanese or hollywood version) The eye = (japanese or hollywood) The grudge = (japanese or hollywood) for me, I would choose japanese version the scariest for the 3 movies,even though its so hard to watch coz you have to read the translation, coz the essence of horror / suspense is there.
