Do you hide your age around people or tell them?

I'm 28 years old and for many years to come I will still say what age I am. I stay young at heart and don't ever like to feel that I'm old. Ever asked people what age they are and they say, "How old do you think I look?" or, "I'm old enough!" -- Honestly that just completely annoys me! Why can't people just say what age they are - well of course insecurities or fearing the fact that people will laugh at them because the fear of being told they are old. What annoys me too is that people who are like my age or maybe 25 or 26 or in their 30's say, "I'm getting old!" Come on now! I don't think so. I've seen and been around old people - those in a wheel chair, motor chair, walker and so on people who are like in their late 70's and 80's of age that can't do so much in life now that I consider old. So do you say your age or not? If so why not say it here.

It depends on my mood and who is asking. For example, if it is a teenager that works at the grocery store and the question of age comes up, I may just say "I'm older than you" LOL, but normally if someone asks me I will tell them straight up.
When I was younger I thought someone in their 30's was old, though certainly not as old as an elderly person, if this makes any sense. Back then I couldn't ever imagine being in my 30's as it felt like it would take forever to get there. Yet, here I am all these years later. I don't feel old and decrepit, but I certainly don't have the energy I did when I was younger. And with more gray hairs coming up , it's not helping me feel any younger. LOL
By the way, I'm 32...not that I was trying to hide it from you. LOL

Hey, i hate people when asked how old they are would answer " guess how old i am..." that also annoys me..im not ashames telling people im 28 already. I dont mind getting old. Although i admit, i used to think im getting old, but now that im having fun, i have my independence, and i can do anything i wanted to do without anyone telling what to and what not, although my mom still tells me to slow down ( im really active! ) Im after FUN and im still loving it.
I think all your people should know something. That if theyre always battling against getting older, they will always be unhappy, because it will happen anyhow..thats one of those thing you can stop from happening, so why not enjoy that days...

I'm 18 years old, and I admire people who grow up to be so old and healthy. They must be doing so well to survive in this crazy world. I'm not scared of saying my age.

i do not think one has enough reasons to hide the age. even if you have those cosmic surgery or those facials, and those colored hair, you eyes speak loudly your age, your general look always changes with your age.
i am 54 , never tried to dye my hair, i am always energetic , working all the 15 hours on computer, does it not make it 18?
but hiding the age is really fancy of some people and especially ladies, they simply refuse to acknowledge that they are old enough to be called seasoned.

i'll be telling my real age too man ... Don't think you should hide it as a matter of fact .. I feel you hide your age only when YOU think you are too old .. I'll rather be young at MY heart than other people's hearts ...

i dont hid my age. i dont even color my hair to hid my age. it is not a thing of shy to say one's actual age. getting old is the natural phenomenon and you cant stop or you can't hide it.

I have no problem letting people know my age. I teach nursing at a local college and most of the students are far younger than me. however, they are always amazed when I tell them my age. I have tried to take good care of myself and my body and I live by the creed 'you are as old or young as you feel.' I am very young at heart! Age is nothing to be ashamed of in my book, it is how one deals with age that is to be evaluated!

Hi. I really have no reason right now to hide my age even though I have some years on me. I believe I would always tell the truth of my age though. I'm 36 and I feel old because I have been through alot in my life and nothing comes easy for me. every day is a struggle.

I am 29 years old, I will be 30 on May 31st. I don't lie about my age. People always think that I am many years younger than I actually am. On my 28th birthday the lady at the restaraunt (you know the one that emabarrasses you with singing and crap that I hate? Yeah, that one.) said that I didn't look anymore than 22 years old. I just smiled, then suddenly she announces to the place that I was celebrating my 22nd birthday. That was one time I didn't correct them.
Now I tell my husband that from now on I choose to age in "restaurant years" and this year I am going to be 24. :)

I say my age...I am 28 years old and you are only as old as you allow yourself to be or think you are. There are people my age that keep saying, "i am getting so old" well with that attitude, of course you are. You have to stay young at heart to stay young in spirit. thanks and God bless

I know I'm still young at 23 but I don't get the whole idea of hiding your age. In so many cultures, age is associated with respect and wisdom and it is true because as you get older you have so much more to offer the world. I think as you get older you should be proud of what you have acheived.

No, I don’t. Well, sometimes I do but it’s only a joke like someone would bluntly ask me how old am I then I’ll answer them a younger number. But it depends if the person can be joked like that, you know. Really, I don’t see why I should hide my age. In fact, I’m 23 now; I wanted to be 29 or 30 years old now. I wanted to know what it’s like at that age.

I tell my real age whoever asked for it. I dont have anything to hide and im proud to say I dont look my age, Im 38 but luckily they say I look younger. Maybe because I dont hide it and I live with good conscience and I eat the right food... and good sleeping pattern.

People dont ask my age, they just assume that im twenty something like 2 or younger. Much worst others think im still highschool when I wear shorts and plain clothes. Im already 31 and when people ask me I tell the truth, but I guess they are the ones having problem with my age, they just dont believe that im already 31.
Look at my picture, do I look like a 31 years old?

I'm 26 and I do think that i'm getting old LOL. sorry ;) ..anyways, i've been told that i don't look my age though- most people say that i look younger than my age and some think i'm still in high school haha. i take that as a compliment though. depending on who's asking the question, i usually ask them to guess my age hehe..
