Wow what a surprise the australian open has been this year... Both Nadal and Federer out... Henin out... Not at all what I had expected. Sharapova just won the woman's final (good for her, might she be making a comeback?).. and tommorow the men's final, i hope Djokovic wins although I wanted Federer to win...

This year is starting out to be a great one for tennis. I hated tennis these past couple of years. It was getting too predictable. We need fresh new blood out there. And that's what Djokovic, Tsonga and Ivanovic have to offer. Variety. I bet even the betting pools are starting to complain about the predictability of Henin and Federer pulling out a win in most of the major tournaments. It's boring if it's always them. That's why I was really excited to watch the matches in the Aussie Open. Ever since that almost loss between Federer and Tipsarevic, I knew that he wasn't going to the final. And yay that he didn't Speaking of Federer, I love him. He has that classic sort of laid back game that's just refreshing to watch sometimes. When you actually watch closely, he's not that good. But when it's the middle of the match, it's like he doesn't even break a sweat while his opponents are sweating like crazy and going everywhere. As for the women's draw, I'd cheer for almost anyone who can beat the William's sisters and Henin.

I was so shocked when I saw the news that both Nadal and Federer were ousted by Tsonga and Djokovic! I know Djokovic but I never thought that he'd beat Federer. rather, I never thought Federer would be beaten. and then, who is Tsonga? I never knew him before and the moment I read his name on the papers, he's been making a big fuss! wow. what a way to start the year for tennis. I'm a great nadal fan and I'm disappointed again for his defeat. ^.^ well, I'm betting on Djokovic. I wonder who will he imitate again after his match. ^__^;;
