How the heck can I get over this dang insomnia? It really has got to stop. I mean sure, it's helping my mylot and clixsense earnings, but I'm just out of it and not motivated to go do my real job the following day. Today I took kids to school, came home, sat on the sofa, and it was all over. I woke up and it was 4:30, what the heck? Does anyone have any suggestions? PLEASE HELP!!

Insomnia is a sleep disorder. If you can't sleep, do something that will make you sleep like reading a pocket book or watching TV. While doing it, get a cup of tea too and check to visit this article to relieve your insomnia.

Thank you so much for your suggestions. I only wish that they work for me. I love reading and watching tv so that's like entertainment. I even tried doing laundry, it really is frustrating. I even tried watching the history and discovry channels, and wouldn't you know it, they always seem to have something that peaks my curiosity. Well, the search continues, thanks again.

Thank you for you information. However, I always have and always will have a tv or radio going in not only my room but my children's room. We have a very loud family, and as soon as our children are born we do this so that the new babies won't be startled or wake up for every little sound, hence this may also be why compared to friends that our children sleep through the night. If it's one thing I can't do, is go to sleep in silence, that is just annoying like listening to water dripping from the faucet.

Hi Dramaqn, Try my method out and I am sure you will have a new feeling on insomnia.
For most traditional Chinese, washing their feet will be a prerequisite thing to be done before their sleeping. Medical knowledge can be easiley shown here. Foot, to a great extent, can be looked as man's second heart. feet-washing before sleep will accelerate flood cycling and will relax your body, which make sense to your sleep.
Of course, warm water is a must. Appropriate temperature will make you feel comfortable and will work out.
More, you can try to drink a little of vinegar. Or a glass of warm milk and so on. Those also can help you to have a good sleeping.
Keep fit.
Thomas

Well you have to discipline yourself,, you have to decide what time you will sleep because if you dont... you will suffer from not sleeping,,,do your work very quick and make yourself before going to bed,, not feeling uneasy and disturb from anything.. drink cold milk and fresh in up then go to bed,,forget everything,,set an alarm clock to what time you like,,, remember over sleeping is not healthy,,adults must sleep atleast 7 hours a day..

I've found that chamomile tea actually helps a fair amount. And if you're really desperate, there's always over-the-counter sleeping pills. I have wicked insomnia, too, and those tend to be the best things that help me. Other people say deep relaxation exercises, but those have never worked for me, personally.

you are right about the sleeping meds..i am hooked..and i am to blame as I took the easy way out..the only advice i see here is the foot bathe..hmm. i go to the YMCA and swim and do water exercise like aerobics...but the whirlpool..is about 109 F and after less then 13 minutes I can tell that i am truly relaxed..and thn i can sleep maybe this is the answer? I am going to start soaking my feet in the tub..of hot water
