Are mobiles phones misused???

I'd say,cell-phones can cause a sort of addiction...sometime ago I read a news of a teenager who spent 6 HOURS per day sending short messages...as a result she had serious problems with her wrist, so that she was obliged to request the aid of a surgeon, who had to "repair" her sinews...I'm not an expert though, but I think the youngest people could consider cell-phones as a "never without!" thing...How the perception of important things could differ from person to person,from culture to culture...hey,1/3 of human population would say that WATER is important, not another freaky cell-phone..(p.s. I use them too, but we - me in primis - should start to give the right importance to what we have ...)

Human Beings are famous for that.Misuse of the inventions which are being made for the good of humans.See the atom bombs.Einstein didnot discover the nuclear fusion or fission for destruction.He wanted it for betterment of people .he wanted that this energy be used in a positive sense.his greatest regret was that he was responsible for the makings of such destructive bombs.So it is human nature my friend to be more attracted to bad things than good things.

Yes I think nowadys, they are hoghly missued. I see the level of misuse is most witrh children and relatively young people. they do not think that it really hampers the brain with too much uses. It is so much misused as many people drive with cellphone functioning. I think you are right that all should be used for good cause only.

I agree to you subathra. In every invention, there are both advantages and disadvantages. However the disadvantages are not known or felt at the beginning. Let us think about the usage of internet... Wow!!! It has fantastic advantages and disgusting disadvantages... Mobile phones are also like that.. Inspite of the internal disadvantages of mobile phones like it would affect brain through its radiations, there are some things which we create. For example using mobile phone while driving... This is too much. This is not the disadvantage of mobile phones. The people who are using the mobile phone must understand that it is not good to use while driving. So most of the disadvantages of mobile phone arises because of misusage...

HI subathera u r right inventions are not bad but their application and use may be good and bad. like atomic energy, its really good if used for power generation, in medical, but its worse if used in form of bomb same mobile phone is good technology but if its in hand of cheap and notorious people then its bad, i think theirt should be law like cyber crimes for mobile crimes take care

Hmm. Well. It is realli depends on how you see things. No 1 is perfect in this world and everyone's opinions are different regarding the same issues. Mobile phones you cannot deny is that is brought accessibitly to all of us. We can make calls to any1 in the world any time and any where we want. This is of coz the main advantage to it. Regarding it being misused. Erm. I don't thk it is to that much of the extent. Perhaps you can list some examples as reference? Electrity of coz is being misused. As to generate electricity, we need coal. Coal produce co2 and co on production of energy. This would be bad for the environment. However, can we say no to electricity? I don't thk so.

mobile phones are one of the most distinct advances in technology in the past ten years. but i agree that they can be misused. the craze that is going around london of happyslapping and filming people getting beaten up on your camera phone is horrible. and not alot is being done about the people that have the audacity to post it on youtube. it is dangerous in the first instance of the attack and also degrading to have your assault be broadcast on the internet. but all youtube will do is maybe remove it if enough people complain. i think it should be handed over to the police, along with the account name. agree?
