I liked it enough, however, there was a definite difference in how the story unfolded in this one compared to the first three. I like all of them as horror films go but so far I think the 1st and 3rd were the best. This one is more philosophical also. It gives some reasons why John did what he did. Explains how he came to go so very mad. I did not like that the directors used so many of the scenes from part 3 as flashbacks. I also found the successor revealed a bit hard to swallow. However, if the intent was to show you never really know someone then the movie did accomplish that. The movie did stay true to the blood and guts "gore" as the game was played well and the "traps" were creative.
So what did you all think?

I can describe Saw IV in one word, "awesome." The way the plot twists and turns through time is absolutely amzing and genius. Almost the entire movie is a flashback. Yes there is alot of blood and gore, but don't we expect that from these movies. The traps were both extremeley creative and gut-wrenching. This movie definatley gives us insight into "Jigsaw the Man." As far as my favorite movie, I'll get to that when the series is over.

Ah yes, I guess another one could come out that would become my favorite. I like the surprise aspect of how the traps play out also. I would love to see a Saw movie made in 3D. A really good scream out loud and jump out of your seat nightmare. oh yah!!!

No, I did not know that. Where and how? Please do tell!!
I know they are doing a Saw V for sure and there is a Saw website. The website address was on the insert in our Saw IV DVD. Hubby bought it for me when it came out here at Wal-Mart. The movies really are disgusting but to me they are like a mystery and I love mysteries and I also like Horror so two aspects of the films are interesting to me. I also like to imagine what the writers of this stuff are like. Don't tell me I don't want to know, I like my imagined thoughts of who or how they are like.

I've seen all the Saw movies and I liked them all. Although IV played out a bit differently, it still had a great twist.
I like II best I think.
