If being homosexual is wrong, why are there so many homosexual animals?

This is actually a thought I had that spawned off of a thread I read from another forum. Then I ran across this article: http://seedmagazine.com/news/2006/06/the_gay_animal_kingdom.php
All these animals, created by God, have been committing homosexual acts since they have been on the Earth. We have recently discovered a gay gene is humans, which implies that God put it there in our DNA. So if God created us and the animals, all of which have genetic coding for being gay...How can it be bad?

As Latrivia stated above, what is natural and what is moral are two seperate issues.
However, if you're wanting people to look at this from a religious point of view then the answer is this;
We are not animals, we have free will. God set down laws for us to obey, some of them will be challenges to your very nature. But to show your love for God you should obey those laws. God made them for a reason, we might not know why, but He did for our good.
Now, animals also do a lot of things that God states we should not do, or don't do that we should; they kill (and eat) their own species, they don't worship God in any noticable way (not getting into that philosophical sink hole), they do not observe the sabbath, some predators will eat any variety of 'band' foods. Animals are promiscuous (some species), animals eat their own young! Yaddah, yaddah, yaddah...
Should we do all those things? Or rise above them to prove we are God's chosen creatures?
Well, that's one religious point of view... not mine, I might add... before someone leaps on me from a rooftop.

The way I am looking at this right now is that God created everything, morality is something that humans created, so if something exists in nature, why would it be against what God has laid out for all creatures on this planet?

God created morality. At least he set down the laws by which we should live by, and that to some is a moral code that they live their lives by and think that everyone else should live by.
Those rules were laid down for humans though. They are not the same rules as the lion or the rabbit should live by. What is right and good for them is not right and good for us.

That depends on what religion you are from. Not all religion believe that morality is something that God handed down and we should abide by. I believe that morality is much more complicated than a basic set if rule that are written in a book somewhere.

Lets just say there were gay animals....(WHICH I doubt)
are you saying that we should compare our morality with that of animals, then by your opinion killing other humans to eat is okay, cuz some animals do that..

Actually there has been a lot of research on this topic, in fact roughly 40% of the giraffe population has been proven to be gay. Do some research on your own.

i don't think homosexuality is wrong nor right.
i believe its just something that is there.
i beieve being gay is somthing thats in our dna. that sounds weird, but i thats just want i think.
and if "god" created us && our dna, so it must be ok i guess.
