This is really an eye opener.... Water or Coke?
We all know that water is important but I've never seen it written down like this before.
WATER
1. 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated.
2. In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger.
3. Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as much as 3%.
4. One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University of Washington study.
5. Lack of water is the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.
6. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.
7. A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page.
8. Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer.
And now for the properties of COKE:
1. In many states (in the USA) the highway patrol carries two gallons of coke in the truck to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.
2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of Coke and it will be gone in two days.
3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous China (the toilet bowl).
4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.
5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.
6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Apply a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes. 7. To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake. Thirty minutes before the ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Coke for a sumptuous brown gravy. 8. To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains.
9. It will also clean road haze from your windshield.
For Your Info:
1. The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. Its pH is 2.8. It will dissolve a nail in about 4 days. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase in osteoporosis.
2. To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must use the Hazardous material place cards reserved for Highly corrosive materials.
3. The distributors of Coke have been using it to clean the engines of their trucks for about 20 years!
Now the question is, would you like a coke or a glass of water?
Have A Great Day and ShareThis With Others!!
(I have been drinking Coke daily for most of my adult life. I wonder if this has anything to do with my heartburn and acid indigetion?)

I like Coke but only during the meals or sometimes during the meals I feel I wanna eat something because then I have a coke and I feel ok and I don't need too eat but when I am thirsty I never drink coke because it doesn't satisfy me so I must say that I prefer water and knowing that coke is a friend of cellulite I try to avoid it as much as possible.

I'm just trying my best to get away from it again and reminding myself to go drink some water. Mostly I will drink it at a restaurant also or with Pizza at home. I have been trying to switch to tea or lemonade at a restaurant, I should just save the money and order water.

Though I liked Coke as a teenager, it was never a substitute for water. In fact, I could never drink a 200ml at one go. I would have it over two days.
And now, Coke is once or twice in a couple of months.....the main reason being that I didn't want my kids being exposed to it and didn't want them drinking Coke regularly. So, now they have it once in a while at parties and I'm okay with that.
Most of the time, if I have an option, I prefer lemonade over Coke.

According to Snopes your information regarding Coke is FALSE! I have seen this garbage printed so many times surely no intelligent person believes it anymore.
Here is the link disproving it!

I never claimed to be intelligent I just shared some info...
and I got you to respond didn't I!!
Are you in a bad mood or what?
Snopes is not always correct either, by the way!!!! Have you tried any of the items listed? I have as experiments with Cub Scouts. Put a dirty old penny in a glass of coke and leave it for a week. It will come out nice and shiny.

You just break myLot guidelines by not linking your source of knowledge (????)(plagiarism).

I will drink a glass of water. i know much about the information about Coca Cola (had to put that in so it would not be mistaken for the other stuff.) And I should drink more water, but here at the computer that enables me to get up from my chair and walk over to the kitchen. When I am engrossed in something, I do not want to get up and get a glass. Oh your question, it could have something to do with your heartburn and acid indigestion. Oh it also could do with having too much fat in your diet or the wrong kind or some other food that does not agree with you. I know that when I eat chicken, I have to remove the chicken fat as too much gives me heartburn and if the food is too greasy I get heartburn and being overweight does not help. For me, it is being about 217 lb but I am large boned and stocky built anyway.

Yes, I do know that some feeds give me heartburn too. Especially greasy food. Even just plain water can give me heartburn if I have not eaten enough. I am working on my weight also. I have lost 12 lbs over the last 5 months. I wish I was loosing faster but atleast I am losing and the doctor said slower is better as it shows a change of eating habitd and a better chance it will stay off.

I can leave Coke alone in the winter months or drink less but in the summer I seem to crave it. I am trying to be sure to drink 2 glasses of water for every can of soda I drink. It helps me to remember to drink water. I was dehydrated when I went in for my last checkup. I just wasn't drinking enough liquids at all. I feel better since adding more water.
