I have searched for this and everytime I saw that it hurts down under, for someone reason the answers are for men who are not careful. I have used the recommended product that is advertised on the Tv, but now my yeast infection is starting to flare up again. I am itchy and I suspect it might be something I use, so until I find a non perfumed substitute, is there any thing I can do to relieve the itch. It feels like it is burning. So what natural products work rather for those who have it? Oh I only make love to my husband and I come from a family that has a predisposition to diabetes but I have lost weight around my stomach area.

Acidophillus - I think I spelled that right. Its the active culture in yogurt with active cultures. You can also buy it in pill form. Diabetics can be prone to yeast infections because of the amount of sugar in thier urine. Antibiotics can cause them too. There is an over the counter test for yeast infections out. If this is a reoccuring problem though I would go see you dr. Yeast infections can be a symptom of a bigger problem.

I am prone to diabetes, and I am also allergic to chemically produced perfumes, and I might also be allergic to the regular laundry detergent. So I guess from now on I have to use a non perfumed detergent or one for sensitive skin. I know I cannot use perfumed deodorants. I will try the -you spelled it wrong, and I have not found how to spell it either - I do eat yogurt, but the acidophillus will help.

It does not have it in mine either and I suppose there is a different British and American version as well.

you need to go to your gynocologist, it may not be a yeast infection, it may be something else.

I am sure it is a yeast infection. I got one when I discovered that I was allergic to a certain fabric softener. I got rid of it, and switched to the non-allergic detergent and used vinegar instead of fabric softener. Then we switched to another grocery story and they did not have that brand of detergent any more. Also if I am nervous, I tend to gt sick.

Here is a whole slew of things you can try out: http://www.msu.edu/~eisthen/yeast/yourself.html If none of these work and you are 100% it is a yeast infection, go to the doctor there is a one time pill they can give you (works like a charm) to wipe out yeast infections of any type. If you need to buy the OTC stuff, buy a 3 or 7 day treatment as the 1 day treatment is a different type of chemical and does not always work. If you do all that and still have the burning, try cranberry juice as you may have a urinary tract issue. You can urinary problems that have no other symptoms other than burning down there. If it is something you use, you should not use it until the yeast infection is fully cleared.

It is not cancer. I did not get it until we tried another fabric softener, and that is when I found out that was another thing I am allergic to.

Well, I only know this through researching a cold remedy that included grape seed extract, but while doing that I discovered taking grape seed extract can prevent and sometimes cure yeast infections, depending on the severity. I bought some for my cold remedy at my walmart, but they also have it in the vitamin section in health food stores too.

I was looking to see if anyone suggested this - I've never done it myself but have suggested it to others who reported that it worked. There is something about the yeast in the yogurt that 'cures'.

Although not very effective for those that have this problem that is chronic but constant drinking of water sometimes helps. When I had these once I just drank plenty of water and if I feel like peeing I immediately do it since it flushes them out. But for those that is heavily infected i guess you might need and anti bacterial medication that your doctor may prescribe.

Sometimes those antibacterial really stings a lot but it really cures a lot faster than anything. But if you prefer natural remedy I think the tea tree oil is one of the best around.

Yes it is. I find that it does not sting as much. I also find that taking a bath helps as well. And it could be that if I am not as nervous or worried, then that helps as well. I find when we go on vacation it is not as bad. It could be something in my house.

For a normal yeast infection a tampon dipped in natural yoghurt can work well but it's important to see a doctor as it sounds like you could have some other issues going on what with the diabetes in your family etc. I have also heard about a diet that can be followed that eliminates certain foods that encourage yeast infetion. There are also foods that are beneficial in avoiding excess yeast growth. Good luck with this

My wife is prone to this problem. Someone told her about cranberry juice. Apparently it has an ingredient that acts against the yeast that causes the infection. She drinks a glass of the purest Cranberry juice that she can find in the supermarket, each morning with her breakfast. She has not had a problem since she began taking this natural Remedy.

No I'm not. I guess the ones who do that do not have their husbands around and their kids are at school. My husband is around all the time.

I tried using vinegar with hot water (check how hot you can handle) when I had yeast infection. The itching was relieved. Also, I read somewhere in the internet the use of garlic and even frozen yogurt for YI. I forgot the cream my OB prescribed but I guess its better if you consult your own OB. Also, check you blood glucose because yeast infection is also a symptom for diabetes. A nurse told me that if you husband smokes and has other vices, it could be a factor for the partner's yeast infection. Clothing preference is also one as other mylotters say. Right now, I am using breathable pantyliners and cotton panties as much as possible.

I am at the age where I have to run to the bathroom and it better be right there so I use Tena pads. I am allergic to some products so that could be a factor and I use cotton. But the trouble is in the winter I have to keep warm. That vinegar with hot water sounds good, I would like to know the proportions though.
