Commenting on comments

I've noticed that you comment on someone's initial post, and you can reply to a comment on the initial post, but you can't reply to a comment on a comment. Other services, like LiveJournal, do allow comments on comments. I'd like to see MyLot implement this feature, and have emailed them a request to do so. Anyone else have an opinion? I'm hoping that if enough people want it, they'll implement it.

How carefully did you read the OP? I've noticed that you can comment on a top-level comment like the one I'm replying to, but if there's a way get more than two levels of comments on a post, I'm not seeing it. That's what I want, a way to get three or more levels of comments on a post.

Actually, this does rather make my point for me. If you look at the comment tree, your second comment is a reply to your first comment, not my comment. FTM, this comment is a reply to your first comment, not your second one even though that's the one I want to reply to. I'd like to see a comment tree that looks like:
OP (Opening Post)
1 first level comment
2 second level comment
3 third level comment
4 fourth level comment
5 second level comment
6 third level comment
7 first level comment
The same sequence of comment here would look like:
OP
1 first level comment
2 second level comment
3 second level comment
4 second level comment
5 second level comment
6 second level comment
7 first level comment
Not quite the same thing. Does this clarify what I'm trying to say?

I agree, I have been here for over a year now and it is frustrating! I often forget a comment the person has made and would love to be able to re-read the second comment while I am responding to it!
If they implemented this, I would be happy! :)
