My husband came home from work and was STILL feeling embarassed after an incident that happened at work.
Sometime during his shift, he ripped a big hole in his favorite jeans - right next to one of the back pockets. He thinks it started to rip about half way through his shift; but, he really doesn't know for sure. But, by the time he "felt a breexe" he had a 4 inch long rip up his backside! And, of course, he didn't have any spare pants with him.
Oh well, these things happen. But, he was very self-conscious the rest fo his shift an dwalking out of th ebuilding to his car!
What has happened to you to cause you to be embarassed?

I wore my shirt inside out a few times :):) and went to 3 places like that each time! so all these people saw me and yet nobody told me anything LOL I'm so embarassed! I even dreamed of doing that and woke up right away checking my pajama :)

That has happened to me before - inside out shirt. I know what you mean. It is impossible to believe that everyone who saw you that day; no one noticed. Of course, many of them did. They just thought they were being kind by not telling you.
Personally, I would rather be told; so that I can correct the "problem". That is why, if I see someone with a wardrobe "mishap"; I try to quietly get their attention and then take them aside and explain what is going on.

I almost went out of the house with my shirt inside out. Fortunately, my sister-in-law was looking closely at my shirt. And before I went out the front door, she called my attention and asked if I had worn my shirt the right way. Sure enough, the moment I looked down, it was worn the wrong way. I was saved from any public embarassment!

Do we ever have an extra pair of pants with us in a situation like that?
Man I got up this morning in embarrassment..LMAO I am continually doing something offensive to myself and suffering the guffawing of my friends and co workers. LMAO it happens to the best of us, but men let it strike their precious egos, and it makes it only that much more comical.

Actually, some of us do. My company has a policy that we can wear casual clothes to work EXCEPT when we have "visitors" coming in to look at our operations. On those days they send out notification the day before that we have to be in "business casual" the next day.
But, we work shifts and don't always get the message ahead of time. If we show up wearing the wrong clothes, we have to go home and change and that costs US money and shows as a tardy on our records. So, some of the people who just love to wear sweats, shorts, and jeans to work; do carry around a spare change of clothes in their car. They just dash out, get the clothes and do a quick change in the bathroom.

Pretty much the same thing happened to me. It was very embarassing. I was in training for a new job at the time, and I went to the restroom. On my way back walking down the hall, somehow my pant leg got stuck under my shoe, and I tore the seam between my legs! I was so horribe, I didnt have my car that day because I had lended it to a friend who was going to return it before I got out of work that day. I ended up asking one of the girls at work (the only person that I had really spoken to at that point, because it was first day) And she drove me to her house, and lended me a pair of her pants to use. And I am a guy! But it was my only option. Luckily the pants were baggy so I dont think that you could tell that they were girl pants, but needless to say I was horrified.

Of course, these things always happen at the worst possible time. It just seems to be one of those "laws of the universe".

When I was a little girl, I came out of the bathroom
with my dress tucked up into my underwear.
A lady pointed it out.
I think that I would have been less
embarrassed if she hadn't been so "helpful"!

While you may have been embarassed for a moment when the lady pointed this out WHEN you came out of the bathroom; it would have been more embarassing if you had gone for an hour or two with everyone noticing but NOT warning you.
Depending on your location and how many people are around, you can easily "flash" hundreds of people in a very short time. If they are too embarassed to mention it to you; you are later left to wonder just how many people you "flashed" and why were they so inconsiderate as to allow you to continue "flashing".
I would much rather have the very FIRST person who spots the problem tell me quietly than have people laughing, shaking their heads, pointing fingers, and attracting other people to ovserve my dilemna behind my back while I go merrily along my way.

hahaha all you guys just made my day!....when I was like 12 I sneezed and farted in class. The kids next to me noticed and were like ewww. But I don't really care, this happened a few years ago so I don't really feel so bad....kinda funny if you think about it.

Well, you made me laugh. But, a lot of things that are embaressing at the time they happen are funny later when you look back at them. They just aren't funny at the time they occur.

Ok so your husband feels the way he does. Everyone is different and I would rather have someone be uncomforatable then run around in front of me all day with ummm how did you put it ahhh yes..."their turtle hanging out."
So everyone around me will tell you I am queen of the hoodie. I carry one with me at all times and have nearly 100 that I have collected over the years. My grandfather use to surround me in his when I was little and at first it was a comfort thing. After you hit that age as a girl though you are always worried about little accidents. So rely on your hoodie. No wet spot, rip, tear, stain or what ever else my clumsy self could cook up can make it past the hoodie.
It works for guys and girls tied around the waist. Try it...it might put a little pep in your step knowing "you got your back covered".

Once my husband discovered the hole ( drafty feeling), he did go find some tape and try to tape the seat of his pants together. But, then he said he had a "big shiny spot" on his butt. So he took a bandanna and hung it from his belt directly in front of the hole.
But, he was still feeling self-conscious and embarassed about how long he had the rip without even knowing about it.

I was at work one day, pulling files in the file room. Going back to my office, I went through the receptionist's office. She stopped me and wanted to chat. I leaned against the wall and held the heavy folders in both arms against my chest. I also happened to have a new front-closure bra on. It opened. The receptionist was just talking away and I didn't hear a word she said. Eventually, holding those folders ever so tight, I started laughing. I had to just walk away and go do repairs. Needless to say, I never wore that bra again!

When I was a lot younger, I liked to wear tube tops in the hot summers. One day, I was going into a grocery store and as I walked into the store and hit the cold airconditioned air; "somethin"g felt a LOT colder than it should. I had "popped out" of the top on one side. I quickly tugged it up and turned around with a very red face, returned to my car, and went to a different store.
I never went shopping again with just a tube top.
