Oh my Gosh! Brushing my cats' teeth? No way! They would think I have gone crazy. LOL Forget about prolonged life! They wouldn't allow me to brush their teeth even to save their lives. LOL

I tried doing that, using a simple formula from a cat-help book, after my vet told me that my cat, Tabitha (now deceased) had tartar on her teeth. I dipped my finger in that formula and gently "brushed" the cat's teeth, particularly the back teeth, with some success.
Some cats will allow you to do this after some time. Others just won't. Best idea is to try it out and see.
Btw, tartar on a cat's teeth CAN affect the cat's health. It's always cheaper and maybe a bit more effective if you can clean your cat's teeth.

I've never been able to bring myself to do that. It seems the cat would just hate it. I have to clip the dog's nails. She detests that and I feel like a bully doing it.
