Do you believe in fortune tellers?

Personally, i really don't believe in fortune tellers...a fortune tellers are the ones who foretells your personal future...they are the ones who predicts the future, usually of an individual, through mystical or supernatural means and often for commercial gain...it often conflates with the religious practice known as divination...
But i really don't believe in those stuffs...ever since i was a kid, whenever i see fortune tellers around, i have this kind of suspicion that they're not telling the truth, but just deceiving those people who are inquiring to them...i would think that they are using that kind of fortune telling practice for their personal purposes...
And according in the BIBLE, Deuteronomy 18:10-13 "There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy GOD doth drive them out from before thee. Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy GOD."
So i think it's not good to believe those fortune tellers and rely on what they would predict or foretell regarding about your future...it's just a waste of time and money...we are the ones who controls our lives and we shouldn't rely our life by those cards or stuffs that isn't really true and it's just a fiction or fake predictions....

I believe that they have found a way to make some fairly easy money with very little investment. Thats what I believe!
And yes, as I am Jewish, I do Know the negative Mitzvahs in relation to fortune tellers and astrology.
The big thing about it is to not rule your life by it. Only you can "make your fate" no one else. You have free will and no one can predict in advance which way you will go.
To read your horoscope out loud at lunch with the folks at the office and laugh about it is not wrong. To read it at home and to call the 900 numbers everyday and follow it to the letter is wrong and scary.

hello there to U...thank you for sharing your wonderful response to my discussion...i do respect your views and opinions about fortune tellers...everybody has their own beliefs and views regarding life...i have so many friends who really believes in Feng Shui too, and i do respect their beliefs...but we should have faith and believe in the power of GOD, putting HIM in the center of our lives...have a blessed day ahead of U...may GOD BLESS U & UR family always!!!
