I noticed this on Children's Day in my college. When I said that we should children's day in college, many students wimped saying "we're not children anymore".
This, I feel is one negative trait. Why not have fun when you can? They just want to behave like adults too much. No fun, no play....what is this. Also no one here wants to play antakshari or dumsharad. Maybe its just West Bengal or is it everywhere in the world?

Yeah there is something sweet being considered a grown up-it comes with respect and rights that are privy to adults and kids just dont want to be counted out!

You're so right my friend! I feel so disheartened whenever I see young kids (even you know toddlers) who act so grown up and wearing these little grown up clothes. Even though they look cute in them, it's not right to take their innocence away from them like that. Children should have fun and we teens and adults must have fun like a child again. I don't mean the fun-partying-booze-kind of thing but of cartoons and finding happiness in simple things. I don't know why kids want to grow up so much. I mean they have loads of time to be grown up but only a few years time to be a kid. They should treasure it. We should treasure it.

your question remind me of a book i 've seen.yeah.it's like marriage.people unmarried want to get married, while those married try to go out.
before18,i really very much like to grow up.i hate to be child-like.i admire the adults and want my parents not to interrupt my personal affairs.i like the feeling to stand on myself.
wow,after growing up,i feel more responsiblity,more burden,more fear about the future,more pressure.
now ,one began to miss the carefree childhood.so i want to advise those young to enjoy their childhood.once gone ,it 'll never return.
