Do you know the days of week got their names...
Sunday comes from Sun's Day
Monday comes from Moon's Day
Tuesday comes from Tiwes' Day (God of War)
Wednesday comes from Woden's Day (Anglo-Saxon King of the Gods)
Thursday comes from Thor's Day (God of Thunder)
Friday comes from Frig's Day (wife of Odin)
Saturday comes from Saturn's Day

I never knew this thanks for the information - not that I will ever remember it but it's often fun to learn things you never thought about before.

Thank you for the information. I did not know where the days of the week got their name until you posted this. I wander how they made the names the way they did instead of spelling them how they were spelled originally?
