the other day I was out in my back yard filling the bird feeders and " using the pooper scooper" to clean up the messes the dogs make. Well I got to thinking how I was sick and tied of cleaning up after these 2 dogs. Now don't get me wrong, I was not comparing the 2 of course, but I got to thinking about the Lord. I got to thinking about all the in my life I need to clean up be it tangible or intangible. I love to fill my birds containers and I want to fill my container- heart and soul - up with the Lord
Does this make sense to anyone out there?

This makes sense to me in a way but I think of it in another way also - I look back over my life and all the times the Lord has cleaned up my messes.
I also love filling my bird feeders and in a small way think I'm giving something back to the Lord when I do - I'm caring for His small creatures while He cares for me.

thanks for the comment when I fill my bird feeders I am alway brought back to he bible were Jesus says look at the birds in the air they don't reap or do they save the Father provides for there needs. I just feel I am the means of God's providing for them again thanks for the comment

I read that passage in the bible often - as a reminder to myself that God will take care of my needs.
I also think in being used to care for the wild birds though I'm also given a great reward. Such as right now with the horrid weather, either snow or nothing but brown - trees, grass, everything is either brown or white.
But there to dress up the dull landscape are 2 bluejays - it brightens my day every time I look out to the bird feeders and see those flashes of bright blue they are happy for the food but I am happy to see them.
