Karma, is it for real?

I really believe in karma...it's a belief system that is similar to the saying "what goes around, comes around." Karma can be either good or bad...what you do in this life will determine whether you are rewarded or punished in the next life...
According in the BIBLE, Luke 6:31 "And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise." And in Matthew 7:12 "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets."
So it's more likely, if you do good or bad to others it will come back to you...so if we want other people will do good to us, we should do good in return to them...i really believe in karma because it's true, if you do good in this life, there's so much blessings in return that GOD will give you...
So, do you believe in karma? is it for real?

Of course its real. If it isn't real, how could you explain gratitude? Revenge? Rewards and Punishments?
Scientifically supported as well. You could can say pollution for the bad effects that man does to the environment. Planting more trees and taking care of nature grants more resources for men to use as the good effects.
We tend to be nice to others 'cause we don't want to be treated badly. Well, for those who treat others badly, it might be likely to be instigated from another source, let's say bad parenting or wrong company that influences attitude. Children can't fight back to bad adults so they treat those who can't fight back to them unjustly as well.
We adapt.

hello there to U...thanks for your wonderful response on my discussion...yes, i do agree with you that karma is for real, and we adapt...if only people take good care our natural resources and our environment, then there would be no air pollutions or other tragics regarding on our natural resources...there would be a beautiful Earth in return...talking about the relationship between parents and their kids, it's normal that kids shouldn't fight back to their parents out of respect...it's really true that if we do good to others, they will treat us good in return too, but if and when there are instances we did good to them and they will do bad in return, then let's not do bad to them for revenge but instead pray and have faith to GOD that HE will be the One to avenge...let's forgive them and pray that those bad people will have a good heart...have a blessed day ahead of U...may GOD BLESS U & UR family always!!!

For every action there is a like and equal reaction. Even though this is meant as a law of physics it is truly the only universal law in existence. Otherwise known as karma yes i do believe there is such thing as karma. It is like a universal balancing system in order to return the world as close to an equilibrium as possible. In essence what goes around comes around everyone will have a differnt variation on it but its there none the less.

Well, I'd like to think that Karma works, and if I have any faith it is reliant on a positive attitude to karma. That's not the same as saying I believe in Karma. I believe you should treat others with respect and then you can justifiably feel that you are deserving of respect. Alas, it ain't necessarily so. :(
If Karma truly works, then the Bush administration/puppetmasters have some trauma in store. No, it is poetic, but not reality I'm afraid.
I figure that if we treat others with humanity and respect we don't even need religion. If he's up there and can see all then it's, job done! Isn't it?

"What goes around, comes around" is not Karma, it's Natural Law.
Natural law applies in the third dimension (on this earth world) Karma is believed ( by some) to apply to our future lives where we must work off the sins committed in our present and past lives. I do not believe that Karma exists as stated. God does not Punish. God is Love, and Love does not Cause an offender to suffer for his offences.
" Absolute Love demands Absolutely Nothing!" There may be Good Karma, but I do not believe there is Bad Karma.

Yep I truly do believe in Karma I try to be nice to everyone that I meet, but after last year I have Karma contracted out to me. LOL!! Last year wasn't a good year and so now Karma is working for me. LOL!! But I treat others how I want to be treated and try very hard to be nice to those who are even mean to me. I don't think that I have the patience to waste the time to and energy to be mean. LOL!! take care.
