Every heard of a kid not liking their hands dirty, she will eat so many crackers, or cheesies and then needs her hands to be washed off. She looks at her fingers, says UH OH, and then needs a baby wipe to wash em off. LOL. Such a princess this one.

HI sissygrl My 5 yr old was like that I had to have a box of wipes to change her and a refillable travel pack for her to have becuase she couldn't stand being dirty ....LOL!! It was so funny when she get messy and say she needed a wipey and new clothes and it was even more funny that she tried to keep the clothes as clean a possible. LOL!! Now she still likes to be clean but she doesn't freak about not having them cleaned right away anymore. LOL!! Your not kidding when you say princess becuase that is what she is at times. Mine at least.

That isn't necessarily a bad thing. Better to have clean hands than to pass around germs!! Be watchfull though, if when she starts getting older and repeatedly washes her hands for no reason, you might be dealing with the beginning signs of OCD. Nothing to worry about just yet, but at least she is conscious of her hands being clean. So many kids get into school and dont pay attention to that, and that's how colds, flu and even strep throat are passed around.

Oh yea i agree.. i hope that she isn't OCD, but we will deal with whatever happens in time, i'm sure she's just a clean freak about her hands for now!

Like I said, I wouldn't worry just yet, and I'd be thankfull she is mindfull of her hands being clean. There's so many kids that aren't. You've obviously taught her that she needs to wash her hands regularly which is a very good thing.

Howdy Sunshine! Its about time you got here. I missed ya last night and this morning. My grand daughter Emily is 4 now but she is the same way and has been since she first started to mouth her food. She cannot stand to have dirty hands. She has a step stool and when she was old enough to start using it she wanted to wash her hands and brush her teeth on her own. Trust me this is a trait you will find you like in your children. My boys could all roll in cow dung and not give it a thought.

hehe i've been here off and on, just sort of lurking around! Not feeling that great, we all got colds! Makes the little one cranky and much more dependant then usual! She does brush her own teeth, but i brush them first cause she dosnt know WHY or HOW to do it properly yet, but we'r eworking on all that! I should get right on the hand washing shouldnt i! We need a step stool. I am scared to let her go into the bathroom alone though cause its all ceramic tile! When if she slips and bumps her nogan! I am glad she's not a boy! cow dung STINKS like Sh1t :P

Every child is different and some don't like having dirty hands. My son, didn't like playing in the dirt last summer when I was gardening, but I hope that changes soon..Especially when I have planned to plant some seeds today with him..lol

Well we did it, we planted the seeds and though he did touch the dirt, he didn't get that dirty and how he did that with potting soil is beyond me, my hands were filthy..lol

That is too funny. I use to baby sit a little boy. He was about 18 months and he hated getting dirty as well. And he hated bubbles in the bath too. He would absolutely freak...It was kinda funny, but at the same time you feel sorry for them. MY daughter didn't like putting her hands on the grass for the longest time. She wouldn't crawl on the grass.

My older son was like that! And I had such an easy time...he would use just his finger tips to eat and was such a darling. I could safely get him to wear white because I knew it would come back clean. But my younger one...of my goodness....he takes the trophy for getting dirty and he's just 14 months! He's like a magnet for anything that can get him dirty and he doesn't mind wallowing in it!
