dirty coke cans? / myLot

Do you clean the top of your can of coke before drinking it? I have heard of people dying from rat urine on the tops of coke can, and the spread of a disease. I dont know how true that is, but I know that I clean the lids of my can before opening them, and they are really dirty. I was wondering if others do this too, or am I parranoid?

true, i think it is a good habit to clean the top of any can before you drink because your mouth is gonna touch the can when you drink, unless you use a straw instead

Yes, I wipe the top of the cans of soda before drinking on it. Sometimes after wiping, I transfer it to drinking glass. I am afraid that there might be some dirt that i did not notice and it went down on my stomach after drinking.

yeah i do that also its better to be sure i wash it 1st even coke in the bottle i wash it or pour it in the glass or use straw.

i dont drink coke but YES i do clean off the top of my can everytime i open a new one. People like i am nuts, but i tell them with the crazy people in the world today you just never know. I mean people at a restaurant will let you food fall on the floor and still give it to you. SO YES PLEASE CLEAN OFF YOUR CANS NO MATTER WHAT KIND OF POP/SODA YOU DRINK
