Breastfeeding in public...what's the problem?

...and what's the problem with nursing in general, tell me please people. I haven't written anything about this topic in ages but just recently some people (mother in law, friends) have been asking me when am I about to give up feeding my son. The answer is...I don't know! We will probably continue till he is 2 years (he is just 20 months old now). But we might continue a bit longer. People are looking at me like I am sick for feeding my son this long. Ok, there is a part of me that would like to give up so I could drink lots of alcohol and be free...but mostly I am happy and so is baby. What are your opinions? Feel free to be honest :)
