For me I would personally choose a world religions course. I plan on becoming a minister and I find global apologetics quite interesting. However, my current high school offers no such course of study, which is pretty much a bummer. So...which subject would you choose to study that is not offered?

I would like to study about Greek Mythology or English Literature. They only offer minor courses on that. But I want to study those in depth. Go beyond everything. I have always been fascinated with Gods and Goddesses in mythology. Their powers, their stories and their weaknesses. There is so much essence there, so many lessons to learn. Same as in English Literature. A telling of the past in a story telling way. I have always found it sexy how Lex Luthor from Smallville can tell a story when he is trying to teach someone a lesson.

I love reading and I would love to take world literature in High School. It was available in college but I was not able to take the course because I was already with my mjor subjects and literature courses are time-consuming since you will be asked to read of lot os selections.
I'd love to have aviation courses too but it's not offered in our school.

Personally, I would have a class preparing h.s. kids for college....Showing them the kind of work they have to do in college and how big of a responsibility it is to be in college. When most h.s. kids think of college they think of freedom and party's, that's not all that college life is. I think alot of h.s. students would be better prepared if all schools had a college class!

A subject i would have loved to study was 'dance' - contemporary or world dance. Occassionally dance is offered at gcse level but you only stufy jazz or modren. In schools, dance is often limited to modern or street, disco dancing. Likewise, in private dance schools the choice is equally as limited to ballet, modern and tap. I did not have the opportutnity to learn contemporary dance until I started college. This is a shame and should be provided sooner, within education, as it is a fabulous movement art form. Plus, it will help with the obesity/healthy eating crisis we have today with children.
