I suppose it would be the handphone business. now everyone seems to want the latest handphone, and if there were good profit margins to be made from trading in handphones that would be a pretty good business to start. and it's hard to make fake handphones so you'd be less worried about people selling copies.

If ever i will open a business here in the Philippines,it should be food or food related business. With the kind of economy we are in,only food and food related industries will survive because people need to eat 3 times a day or more.Leave the big business to big corporations, you can't beat them, you can merge with them if you are a powerful politician,if not go to your food business.

I think it really just depends on what particular places you are living in or where you open.
in the philippines what usually works are:
- internet cafes
- gen merchandise stores or sari-sari stores
- e-loads
- eateries or carnderias
hope this helps :)

it depends on where in the philippines you're planning to put up your business. it's always best to go there and have a feel of the economy, industry, and current market. like any other business, you need to make a plan and a feasibility study. but most of all, you should always indulge in a business you know how to operate, a business you can finance, and a business you're interested in.

Small and medium scale enterprises are considered the backbone of the Philippine economy. It accounts for around 94% of the Philippine businesses.
If I were to start a new business, I would like to open a restaurant. Time and again, we have been told by experts that you will never go wrong with food business. Of course, it requires proper management as well as effective strategy and policy formulation and implementation. Another business I have in mind is related to the hospitality industry. I am from the summer capital of the Philippines and I would love to take advantage of that. During peak seasons, hotels and transient houses here in the city get fully booked. I would like to put up an apartment or dormitory here. Besides, our city is also known to be the education center of the north. I think it would also be a good idea to put up a resort in the province where my parents are originally from because they live near the beach.*wink*I used to have a computer shop which I had to close because of stiff competition. But I definitely learned a lot of things from that business.
