I remember at the age of 15 during the ghetto life I was walking with a old homeboy of mine. He was into rap music hip hop you name it. He was also into making his own records, samples then one day he just told me to hit a tone to sing. Then I did - he said my voice was tight and I didn't even know I was able to do it. So then after that it just stuck in my head to try it out. Then I remember the college years going to Church then joining the Choir, I was put as a tenor - I loved that back then to hang out with the gospel singers and the ladies that had voices from heaven my god if you just heard them you'd melt. Then it moved on in Philippines where I put myself to the test learning the filipino language then taking the risk of singing songs in tagalog - an uproar a crowd of people just chanting and I'm like, "Whoa! What did I do?" Joining singing contests, karake videoke contests thanking God for giving me victories. So then I thought to myself one day in the Philippines I hope to make me one album - tagalog and english - but tagalog in a R&B mix - just the day when I hope to do that. I may be mestizo, but in my heart I will always be pinoy.
