Carlos Mencia Is a Riot

Do you like Carlos Mencia? Have you seen him live? He is hilarious. I was watching his stand up "No Strings Attatched" and I couldn't stop laughing. I hope I get to go see him in Detroit in April.

While I do find him very funny, I have heard allegations that he has been stealing jokes from comedians like George Lopez and a bunch of no name stand up comedians. Also, he keeps calling himself a Mexican, but he is from El Salvador or some other country like that.

And u know for sure that both his parents are from el salvador? Also, I dont recall him saying he's mexican I recall him sayin he's a beeaner. And as far as stealing jokes? what jokes could possibly be stolen when his whole act is things that really happen in society in different races and cultures?
Anyway, this could get interesting, please give me some more facts and thanks for responding.

Yes, I did know that Ned was his real name. And I will look at the links that you submitted, I just don't see how you can steal stories that happen in real life. Life is funny, and everyone especially comedians tell the same jokes, just deliver them in a different way. I'll be back after I look at the links.

I really don't like him. He just isn't funny by my standards. He has some intersting jokes, makes some funny comments, but as a whole, just isn't someone that I enjoy watching.

Well, to each his own, but out of curiosity what is it about his act that isn't funny or appealing to you? You know, some people didn't like Rodney Dangerfield, Redd Foxx, Eddie Murphy, or George Carlin for whatever reason at the time. So please share your opinion, maybe he's funnier to you than you think. Also, thanks for responding.

I find Carlos Mecia quite funny, so what if people claim that he is using other peoples' work, just because they said it first it doesn't mean that no one else can say it anymore... He makes fun of his people which is what most comedians do.
Although I find that some other comedians such as pablo francisco and freddy soto are better performers...
