I have a sound like stupid question but since I still don't have the casserole I think I must ask you all out there. I am thinking of making a casserole meal or dish for me and my spouse, but since I don't have the casserole yet I wonder if I can use the baking pan for this kind of dish. Please tell me if the answer is no because the taste will be different from the original dish, then I guess I must buy one for me.

Typically when I make a casserole type meal I use a glass baking container. I would think if you used metal, there would be no difference in the taste.

It will probably cook quicker. I would cut off 10 minutes off the cooking time and maybe lower the heat if you are using a dark pan.

The taste of the food has nothing to do with th epot you cook it in...yes you can use a baking dish, if it a deep one.Casseroles are usually layers of ingredients and are meant for deeper dishes, but a baking dish will work without affecting the taste...
