Don't you think "sorry" becomes an absue

Really that I realised a word sorry becomes an absue because most of the people missuse it. They do such a bad activity and they say sorry. I think the word sorry shold use in proper way. Like a person have done something wrong (unknown) and they come to know that I have done something wrong which hurt someone then they sould say sorry. So what do you think....

Hi pikeshpd,
Sorry is an excellent word to show our feeling of regret to others who are hurt by our unintentional mistakes. Some people are taking the word for using it as an abuse. Let us not talk about those ugly people. Otherwise it is a good word and as you said it has become an abusive word.

I think sometimes sorry is a word to express guilt.
If he really stand corrected, anyway saying sorry is the basical expression.

Yes, I often feel that it's insincere when people say this. Some people seem to think that they can do pretty well anything just as long as they say sorry afterwards. It would be better if they did not do whatever it was they are saying sorry for in the first place.
