Do you put God first?

If you are a Christian, do you practice Matthew 6:33, "...seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and ALL this things shall be added unto you?" How?

I‘m not very sure if god really exist. I was affected by a missionary about five years ago. Sometimes I pray for health ,wealth ,knowledge and so on. When I am in danger, the first I thought is God help me. But I can't believe it completely.There are many things I can't understand. So I am still researching. I hope I can over come the obstacle on my way to God.

I do believe that a sincere seeker can find God "if you seek Him with all your heart." Why not start by reading the Bible? It will lead you to God and help you to understand things that are hidden from you!

I agree with danzer if you truely seek than god will provide you with understanding or a mentor to help guide you. Right now you are starting to be just like the Ethiopian. Acts 8:30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? Acts 8:31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.

Hi danzer, Yes, I try to put God first in my life. He is my everything! Without Him, I am nothing. The Bible says, "I can do all things thru Him Who strengthens me." Awesome! God has proven Himself to be faithful over and over in my life! He has never let me down and He never will! God is good...ALL the time! God bless you:)

Hi, i try to always practie this..... but sometimes i may fail....but he does forgive me for it.... not all are perfect.... its his strength that is made perfect in this weakness of mine. but when i ask him to help me to put him first, he will definitely help me... he has been doing it or me till now.
