Hi! So here are the list of the best Fiction books for 2007:
The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz
Then we Came to the End by Joshua Ferris
A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini
Out Stealing Horses by Per Petterson
Tree of Smoke: A Novel by Denis Johnson
House of Meetings by Martin Amis
No one belongs here more than you by Miranda July
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling
Like you'd Understand, Anyway by Jim Shephard

I haven't read of any of them. I am asking if you have read any, and if you thought it was good?
Thanks!

I've only read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It was a necessary reading since it was the last of the series. It was unforgivable for me if I missed it.
Anyway, I don't think you really have to pressure yourself in reading all the best books of 2007. Reading is a pleasure, a relaxation. Just read whatever you can at this time. You may read those books in 2030, it doesn't really matter. What matters is that you know what the good books are and if you have time, read them.
Thanks for the list though. When I get the chance to buy them, I will.

Hey! I wasn't really concerned with having to read them just because they were listed as the best of 2007. More so I wanted to get some feedback on them to see if they were a good read. I have a list on my computer of "books I need to read", working my way down them. Which has been a slow-going as of late because I have a baby now, and I am a childcare provider so I'm pretty busy. The only time I get to read is on the toilet! HAHAHAHA Sorry, just had to be honest! I'm working on a book myself and hardly get any time to do it! I just need one day a week where someone can watch my little girl and I can go write write write!

I haven't read any of those titles. My roommate would like me to read the Harry Potter books which I know I eventually will seeing as she's made me see all the movies so far. I am really wanting to read A Thousand Splendid Suns though. I'm just waiting to catch it in at the library!
