Is there a Walgreens, Brooks or CVS near where you live?

I'm lucky enough to live almost across the street from a brand new CVS store that opened last Sept. and I got my part time job there to boot! There is a Walgreens about 2 miles from my apartment and when the weather is nice and they are having a good sale I will take a walk there or if I'm lazy the bus stop is in front of my house and lets me off in front of it so I sometimes do that too. There are no Brooks stores within walking distance of me but there is one on the other side of town if I really needed to go there for some reason.
Are there any of these stores near where you live? Do you shop in them very often? If not are there stores like them that you go to?

well brooks/eckerd stores are turning into rite aids. i just quit my job at eckerd/rite aid. so there wont be any more brooks or eckerd stores soon. i have a rite aid and a walgreens where i live. they just built the walgreens a couple months ago. i dont really shop at any of them tho, the only time i did was when i worked there. unless there having sales, most of the time those kinds of store are expensive. wal-mart is much cheaper.

You are so right! Until I started working there I never shopped at a CVS because their prices are so high. I really never noticed their sales until now and with my little discount it's worth it for me to go there now.

I don't think I have a Brooks or CVS around where I live. I've never heard of these stores, nor have I seen them around town.
Now with Walgreens, I've heard of this store! LOL I used to go there when I was growing up in the Bay Area. Once I moved to Sacramento (back in the mid 80's) I didn't see any Walgreens! But now, there are some here. The ones I have seen around here are relatively new (they were built a few years ago). I don't go to them too often though (rarely, if at all). I guess I just got used to them not being around and now that they are, well, I see no need to go. LOL
None of the Walgreens are within walking distance. Then again nothing (except for a little mini store) is within walking distance where I live. I guess you can say I live out in the sticks. LOL
Congratulations on getting a job, and so close too! I hope you are enjoying it. :)

For me its Walgreens. There seems to be a Walgreens every other block here. CVS I've seen, never gone in though. And I've never heard of Brooks. I was just in Walgreens last night. I pick up cards and medicine there a;; the time. With the price of milk going up, sometimes Walgreens has the best price.

The closest Walgreen is in a town about 25 miles away I don't think there is a CVS or Brooks anywhere near. The closest stores to my house are Sunmart food store and Family Dollar. We have a Dollar General too but it is across town.
The grocery store is just around the corner from me close enough to walk to.

There are three Walgreens fairly close to me. I do shop there on occasion and get some of my prescriptions at the closest one. We don't have a CVS, but do have a few Rite-Aid (formerly Thrifty's) and a Long's. Oh yeah, there's also a Sav-on inside Albertson's grocery store.
We have two 24/7 Wal-Marts, which also have pharmacies, although the pharmacy isn't open 24/7.
One of our Walgreens is open 24/7 including the pharmacy and I do like the drive-thru pharmacy feature.

Here where I live a new Walgreens is building another store. Just up the road is a Walgreens and a CVS. Just down the road a ways is a CVS. They are all close but not Close enough to walk to. We don't have any public transportation in my town ether. I don't get there very often.

There are more CVS stores than any other chain in my area. There are no Brooks stores. And there is a Walgrens coming to my area. It isn't as close as a CVS but it will be a nice bus ride away.

I have a Walgreens a couple of blocks from me, it takes about 10 minutes to walk there and I do walk there a lot when the weather is nice. I also have a CVS store, but that is about a 10 minute drive and across from the CVS store is another Walgreens. I don't have a Brooks store, I have never even seen one.lol

I actually have two Walgreen's near me....both were formerly A&P supermarkets that went out of business. And even though they are the same store chain I'll often go to both...they're both within walking distance...the one that is further away seems to be better stocked than the other one. I also used to have a CVS but now it's a GNC health store

Where I live there is NOTHING close by. There are 2 Walgreen's in the towns I go shopping in though. I hardly ever go there except to pick up prescriptions. I used to go to Walgreen's all the time when I lived in the city. They were all over the place.

how fortunate you are to have these shops in such close proximity to you - and great for a part time job, don't have to worry about wasting gas on that one!
the nearest walgreens that I know of is 3 hours away and the nearest cvs 105 miles away.
I have never seen a brooks, or at least never lived near enough to one to notice.

There is nothing near where I live. I live in the middle of nowhere. I like it here though. There is a little fish camp across the bridge that serves lunch and dinner. We go there sometimes when we can afford it. If I need to go to the store like Walgreens, it's 25 miles.
