I am trying to drink warm milk before bed to see if it helps me sleep and keeps me from snacking! I do put in a little vanilla extract and cinnamon and warm it up and it's yummy and warm. Does anyone else drink warm milk before bed? Do you think it helps or is an old wives tale?

I have tried it on occasion and it does seem to help - although warm tea has the same effect. I think warm liquids just make you warm and toasty and help to put you in the mood to head to bed.

for me it does.. a warm glass of milk before going to sleep is good.. as what i have known, it helps our body to be relaxed so we will surely have a good night sleep.. and it's kinda like a depressant that makes me sleepy..

I used to do that when I was younger. Mostly, when I was a kid and needed a little help falling asleep. Nowadays, I usually just stay up until I am tired enough to fall asleep. With all the schoolwork I have and staying up late, I usually don't need anything like that to help me fall asleep. I think it does help a little; it calmed me down when I was younger and it really brought me from a state of awake to getting ready to fall asleep.
