What in your opinion would be the worst possible addiction to have? Would it be: gambling, food, smoking, alcohol, drugs or another form of addiction? Why do you think this would be the worst addiction to have? How hard would it be to stop this addiction.
I think all addictions are hard to overcome, for example gamblers have the cravings and the urges to gamble, they feel like they have lost control of their lives and some may lose their family and all posessions that they may have. Whilst with food addictions, people have also lost their self control, it can lead to obesity, low self esteem, critisism from loved ones and health problems. Addictions are very hard to control and overcome.

I agree that all these kind of addiction is bad, though the degree of addiction varies from one person to another. Though its worst domino effect starts on the the perso himself then to those that surrounds him. We cannot always expect that there would be people who are willing to help us so change and help must start from within. There are some people who had over their addiction upon realizing that they are no longer benefiting from their vices. Though we cannot deny that moral support, especially from people we love dearly could help a lot in overcoming addiction.

K,
While I agree, Being a recovering addict (admitting it is part of the recovery process...I've been there) Staying away can B tough, If Drinking & Driving R against the law, Then why do bars have parking lots?...
Once U have admitted U have an addictive personality, it really doesn't matter what UR addicted 2... They're ahhl Bad... & I've done 'em ahhl...
I think Depression plays a part, yet we make our own choices, good or bad...It's not easy, & I don't have ahhl the answers...

as you say all addictions are very hard to overcome-but the one i have had experienced more with a boyfriend i lived with and in my family is alcholism i feel that is the worst one to come off-the damage it does to your internal organs especially the liver of which we only have one of although repairable if you dont give alchol up in time it will kill you there are many things about how alchol can harm you and different degrees of alcholism--to me i think this is the worst one i have ever come across-littleowl
