What are some of your thoughts for President Bush spoke about throughout his State of the Union Address. Do you think he has a good plan for the economy, borders, education, and so on? what are you thoughts mylotters?? How about his plan for some of out troops returning home? I just caught the end of that sentence as to how many and by when will they return.

Honnestly, I was not impressed with his speech at all. One thing in particular that irked me... he's still pusing the No Child Left Behind crap. I'm sorry, but it has been the downfall of our schools. The teachers are having to prepare the kids for tests and not to teach them the basics. The only thing I did think was valuable was his suggesting to make the GI Bill education benefits transferrable to wives and children.
As for his plan for the borders, well, I hear bla bla bla, because I'll believe it when I see it.
The whole thing to me was his last chance to stroke his ego. He expected applause after every sentence. It would have been far more effective to just do the speech with no audience and be done with it. But it's like he has to have that stoking of his ego.
There were a few times I was surprised that he was able to pronounce some words though.

i really like how after the speech was over they interview mitt romney to ask him what he thought about the speech and i liked he made it clear that bush was basically giving a speech like it's his last and basically it is. he cant be reelected again and he said thats that type of speech somebody makes when theyre leaving office.

I thought that the President's State of the Union Address was pretty good, although there was not much in the way of stopping nuclear proliferation. The number one thing is to fight terrorism at its roots.

yes he did speak a lot about terrorism and creating peace in the middle east and other countries, but he talked a lot about the no child left behind stuff again. basically i think he was just making a speech about what he did in office and what he thinks could happen in the future but doesnt really care if it actually occurs.

He seemed to want to remind us all why we don't approve of him! Some of the things he said tonight sounded like they'd been copied almost word for word from previous State of the Union Addresses. It's really bad when you have such low expectations of somebody and he still fails to measure up!

The President did well in presenting his case to the nation. We have had a lot of positive things to come out of the last seven years..let us hope the new President and congress can get the economy grewing at a healtier rate...
