If book 7 is turned into 2 movies I think it will be perfectly o.k. In all the Harry Potter movies till now the film makers has cut out characters and incidents because of time limit. They won't be able to do this in the last movie. It is not the size of the book, but the content that matters. book 7 contains so many revelations, conflicts and amazing fight scenes. so if the movie makers want to give the series a grand farewell, they must reduce cuts. moreover they will have to acknowledge previously ignored characters like Dobby and Kreacher. i think they will have a hard time making up for all previous cuts in the final movie. if they can't make 2 films they must atleast make a long film.

i have read in the news too that they are really planning to make two movies out of the last book. too many important things happened in Book 7 and i'm not quite sure if they would fit only in 2 movies. Harry has a lot of adventures and i would love to see all of it in motion. it would be better if they show it all no matter how many movies it would take. after all, that would be the last time that we'd see Harry and all of his friends. ^__^

I think they should have done that with book 4 or the Goblet of Fire... there were so many details left out because they had to squeeze the whole book into one movie... so they finally decided to do it to book seven... i think it will work out and a lot of fans will be happy since they will see a lot and there will still be something to look forward to after the first half of book seven... i would watch the two even if they were three hours long as long as they will put all the important details...

I'm not sure if it will work, but if they have to make an eigth film I'm all for it. I would actually like that because it would allow WB to stay closer to the books and cut out less. We shouldn't get our hopes up though. Book 7 is shorter than book 5 and that was crammed into one movie. I have been frequently checking Mugglenet and it looks like it will be just one movie.

Well, book seven isn't but like 100 pages longer than the fifth book. They always cut so much out of the movies as it is, I doubt they'll have to turn it into two films. That would destroy the point even more than they have in the other movies compared to their books. I don't think it will work, and I find it pointless.

I would certainly doubt so. Firstly, book 5 is way thicker than book 7 and it cuts book 5 like mad into a movie. so book 7 most likely is a movie by itself with lots of cut scenes.
Personally i find harry potter movie is getting more and more terrible as more and more scenes are removed. This makes it very sad as some of the scenes are really really nice in the book.

if u r comparing book 5 & 7, then u must also notice that book 7 has much more details which r necessary to be included in d movie..if thr r many cuts in d 7th movie to comress book 7 into a single movie, many details will be scrapped off, which wud leave the viewers just thinking, how r things happening, & what the 3 r upto.
If it has to be a single movie, there will be a lot of diversions from the story in the book.
I feel that the viewers (atleast the readers!!!) will be pleased to have more than 1 movie, so that d movies stick to the plot in d book...
