I have constantly seen discussion like how do I increase my replies,my earnings etc (including few of mine)..I have read many replies which are really very convincing..Replies include quality replies, quality topics..relevent replies etc...But the question here is How??..If you ask me I changed my mylotting system by being more passionate towards the topics rather than just reponding for the sake of doing it..Please share your views regarding this..

I often think before I write. Also to be passionate. I am passionate of everything I do. I feel if you can not do it well why do it at all. It makes it more fun for me.

I have seen taht few users here are really passionate about mylot. its not that I do not love MYLOt. But i have seen few answers in long words and their discussions are also very well thought. I think if you start a discussion taht should be really well thought, not just start a discussion for the sake of starting it.
Still i have seen few gets lots of replies for their one liners also. I really do not like one liners. Making comments to the replies to your discussion is also one way to get your discussion to be noted by others.

I sometimes start a discussion on a topic that's controversial or will solicit the most response with a two sided subject. Like my most recent one which was, "Do you think people on the internet are more honest or dishonest?"
Then when people respond I look for the best one that is more detailed and has the most honest answer, or the one that shows they took the time to think about it before they posted.
Also when I read the topics that interest me, I try to read all the responses and don't just jump in at the beginning. I read them all and get in on the discussion at the point where I feel that it's the right time for me to say what I want to say. I hope this helps some.

At times I feel really bad because I don't respond to some of my friend's discussions. If it's something I don't understand or know nothing about, then I am replying just for the sake of replying. My heart isn't really in the discussion. I like earning on this site but not more than replying to a discussion with my sole interest being focused on the topic.

Responding for the sake of responding will definitely show on the quality of one's response... i am sometimes guilty of this when i want to meet a certain goal... but nowadays... i post discussions which i think will not get a lot of responses but will definitely garner serious ones... so i am quite content with that...
It all boils down to why a person is here and active in mylot...

I fully agree with you. I only reply to topics that either interest me, or I have knowledge in. I hate reading posts and seeing dumb posts where you know that they are just posting to post. Its getting ridiculous.

Making the World go around enjoyably is something definetly needed. So it does seem that being passionate will allow forth more involvment, possible more individualism... I am new... I am eager to earn the money...I hope I earn enough to take care of the personal life that requires bills to be paid, so my extra curricular activities can aide in my living my dream.
I believe you're right to be changing to for being more passionate...Speaking seems to be difficult because of my past, more comfort I find in discussing with the ability to have empathy. So on ward.
Hopefully bettering tomorrows today.

I have recently recieved many messages from friends asking to reply to their discussions..I tried doing that but the topic was so very tasteless(sorry the word)..I did not reply..Ill always be first to respond atleast if it has some taste or somewhere meet my passionate topics..Meanwhile I also respond to strange topics to learn more about it..

I heard many times that this is what mylot encourages us to do. that we post quality discussions and responses. but there has been so many ups and downs I am not sure if anyone pays attention to this anymore. I know I try my best. I am still reporting abuse and tag my discussions. For as long as I am here I will try to stay that way.

Passionate responses are always better as they will usually result in more dialogue in a discussion. I try to respond on things I know about or have had experience with but sometimes I don't want to have to think too hard so I will chime in on something that I don't really know much about just to help the friend get the dialogue going. Or I will respond on something I am interested in learning more about.
Quality topics are always best as a way of attracting responses.

I always choose what topic to reply and give rate to discussion I replied if ever I find it very nice or very informative.
If I don't like the topic, or I don't know how to interact with the post, I never reply just for the sake of increasing my number of posts
