What do you do to get ideas?

I've yet to do that on myLot, but I have done it for all kinds of other things. Usually, I'll look around my room. I have so much stuff packed in here that I can get ideas like crazy. Starting conversations like this is a great way to get the creative juices flowing. You could always start conversations about some of your favorite things. Think of a book, movie, video game, board game, place, person, or anything else that you have a favorite of and start discussing. Does starting discussions make more money that replying? I'm kinda curious now.

Yep. I've done things like that. I also get ideas from the local news. Some of it is really funny. I also find inspiration from the people in my family. My daughter is a great source of inspiration.

I now have to keep a notepad and pen beside me when I go to sleep or try to sleep, because when I settle down to go to sleep I find ideas rushing around in my mind, so instead of getting up, switching on the computer and making noise, I turn the lamp on and scribble down the idea ready for the day after to compose on Mylot, if I don't I won't be able to sleep my brain continues to be active! I also get some great ideas from reading my friends discussions and think hey that's a good idea as a follow on or a trigger to a wholesome discussion

I just look at discussions and if something pops into my mind, I respond or ask a new question. It really helps to have something you are passionately interested in and, for me, it is the tv show General Hospital. I have been watching it for close to 40 years and so know the history quite well and love to discuss it and what will happen on the show or with the actors and characters in the future, Words just come to me, as I start typng, it seems. Hope this makes sense, I guess I don't always make sense when I just keep typing my rambling thoughts on and on, lol!

no, i honestly dont have time to do that, but i am pretty creative and watch the news and read some, plus i work outside of the house and have a home biz, so i am not usually at a loss for stuff...

i normally just go with the flow i find actually being on mylot gives me ideas i find something that interests me but i think there are more questions to be asked so i start up a discussion on the things i want to ask about that i think the best inspiration is right here

Well, there have been times when I have looked around and such to come up with something to start a New discussion on here, and then there are other times that maybe from answering discussions on here I come up with some New ideas and then there are the times when my mind is blank so I skip adding New discussions, and just post to others discussions and try to increase my Earnings that way. Either way, this site is still a Great site to be at, and that is why I continue to come here.

New ideas is everywhere. It is just come from as. Me, I get ideas just by reading on the discussions posted here. Sometimes, it gives me questions that would pop out while I am reading. I used to read magazines and articles too, if I find interesting topics and got some questions or something I could share base from what I have read, I start a discussions. Most of the time too, when I am alone, I do observe and reflect on what people do, on what I do, on what happens in everyday, lots of thinking that is why there are lots of questions that comes to my mind. I use to remember those questions on my mind but during the time I am facing the monitor already, it seems my mind gets blank, but some are successfully posted. If you want to get more ideas to start a discussion, you should be aware of what is happening around, you should be observant and do reflection everyday, if you got question as you reflect then that could be a new idea to start.

I write discussions on what I see people do or what my friends talk about or discussions I hear on tv.

hmmm .... wait, I get a new way. watch the TV and perhaps there is something in the news or any programs that might catch people's interests. then you can talk about it here. perhaps you can also bring one of Oprah Winfrey show's topic to talk in the discussion then. someone even start a discussion about Hamasaki Ayumi (a japanese superstar singer) latest news, her left ear completely deaf and she only has one ear remaining. and the person started the discussion, asking any Ayumi fans about whether she can still continue singing. well, that's a topic too. :)

wow, I need to learn a lot from you then, because maybe I should do similar way with yours. I always come to the interests when I check for any discussion. it can vary from religion, music, movie, artist, making money, pet, food, drink etc. because I can't always talk about money all the day. sometimes I will get stuck too. I usually respond people first. it is faster than starting my own discussion.
