well....I think that should be something he/she likes most....m not talking bout some expensive things...but whatever he/she likes most will be the best thing...

I understand what you mean. lol For me, I pay attention to when my boyfriend says "I'd like to have that" "Oh! Look at that!" etc etc. And also, he is a big sports guy. He likes the Raiders in Football booooooooooo Raiders Colts all the way! haha And he likes the Toronto Raptors in basketball and Toronto Blue Jays for baseball. I am signed up for email alerts for merchandies with the Blue Jays, so when they have new products or sales I get notices! For example, they have neat valentine's Day sales going on ;) The best gifts come from the heart when you are thoughtful and get something they really need or really wanted. I don't just go to the store and see what's cool.
