If and when tax rebates are sent do you plan to spend it, save it, or pay an existing debt? http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/01/29/BUSCUNN6B.DTL

If we actually get the rebate and if it comes in a reasonable amount of time, I would use some of it to pay off debt and the rest to have extra fun money on our vacation.

Unfortunately I won't be getting a rebate check!! I'm still a college student and only made $2,800 in 2007....$200 SHORT of the minimum $3k to get a rebate!! :( I was depressed ever since I found that out. ;)

Save Save Save! Until we have $1000 in savings. If we have accomplished this goal and there is money left over we will start paying off debt.

I plan to save it for next year's refund. I dont' like borrowing from peter to pay paul and that is what this is doing. This rebate will be deducted from any refund you get next year, so if you "plan" on your refund for a specific purpose, you'd better just save it, cause you'll be short next year!

if it comes about, not knowing now how much it will be, I should like to buy a floor for my kitchen and dining room with it. There are many repairs that need to be done in our home
