Can a person really make money on ebay?

I hear people talk about how much money they make on ebay, but can you really make a good income on there yes or no?

I think to make a really good income on ebay you have to find a niche and a good wholesaler. I seen one seller on there that had 29000 items listed. I am sure he was making quite a profit.
