Do you have more online or offline friends??? Me I have more online friends than offline friends. I was afraid of the internet 4 yrs ago before I got a computer but I have met alot of wonderful people. Not all of them were. There are a few that took 2-3 yrs to show their true colors but the ones that are true friends are still very true so far. I have 2 best friends here where are live.I have known one since 4th grade. I was a loner and kept to myself alot. I didnt fit with the popular crowd or the nerdy book smart group I was just there so I would get picked on alot especially when a popular boy liked me. Well one day the popular girls were giving me a hard time and so this girl comes up and makes them back off and from that day on we were best friends. The other one is a funny story. We met when she was dating my ex(my first husband). He was abusive and an a** and so the more he miss treated her the closer friends we became. Shes no longer with him.It last about 2 yrs because he was cheating on her and hitting her. But we are still close more like sisters even. We have supported one another thru alot of things. So tell me do you have more online or offline friends????

I have a lot more offline friends but know more people online. Confusing huh LOL! I'm one of those people that gets to know people and only hover close to the ones I like (online) whereas off line, people hover around me and everyone seems to want a little piece and be part of my life, my social circle and so on...
I'm not sure if I can actually consider them real friends, I would be better off saying they're "acquaintances" - real friends are rare.
You're very lucky to have your best friend in your life. That's awesome!

Thanks for sharing with us how you met your best friends. I'm somewhat the same. I only have a couple of good friends, and I'm kind of in their circle of friends. But online it seems like I have a lot of people that I have never even met that I end up in discussions with just like here on myLot.

Yeah I have bonded with a few on here.They feel like you could tell them anything and they can understand or are or have gone thru similar situations. I met most of the people I am friends with thru MSN groups. The first group I joined was Sisters By Heart Friends For Life. I made some good friendships thru their and met some not so great people but then me and another opened an Womens Abuse group and I am still real close to most of them. Some like I said showed their true colors after a while but the few I still talk to at least weekely if not daily.

I'm have difficulty in making friends because people tend to pre-judge me a lot - hence I tend to be aloof.
When I was introduced to the net, I learned to surf, chat, and join forums - I've met a lot of nice people. Some of them I've met in person and they are like my best buddies. I haven't met all my friends in the internet since most live in different countries. But hopefully soon, I will.
So to answer your question, I definitely have more online friends than offline. I hope though these online friends will soon be my offline friends too. :-)
