which search engine is the best and way

I dont use search engines, they seem to limit your search. They have things all neatly organized and point you towards want they think is what you are looking for. I just type exactly what I am looking for in the task bar at top of screen and always find exactly what I am looking for. I showed a coworker this and she was amazed that something she tried to find for a week I found in one minute. The more I think about it, almost like the internet is one big business and everyone is trying to control it in some way or another. The end result is everyone wants to make money from the internet with this control.
