For all teens and for all adults who can still remember your teenage years. How desperate where you to start driving. I was super desperate but my mom said she wouldn't have gotten her license till she was 21 but her parents told her to. Do you think that is strange? Most of my friends were and are desperate to get their learners permit and license.

No, its not strange. Because I also want to learn how to drive. And wish to drive my own car. It is a want that I really wanted since I was in high school and until now. But having a permit and license is very hard despite of everything because you need to apply all the policies and rules when it comes to driving in public places.

Hello heyMAT3 and welcome to mylot. I am just like you. I am 16 and am ready to get out there on that open road. That is another reason why I am out here on mylot trying to scrape up so extra money so that I can get out there and drive. I am very desperate to learn to drive and get my license so that I can stay out super late and be able to tease my friends who aren't driving yet. Well heyMAT3 with that said NakitaLikely3617 is out!

I can defintly relate to this i cant immagine how much i wanted my license. After i got it however i cant really say much changed. My parents would barely let me drive and i dont think i even wanted to learn to much after a couple of driving lessons with them.

I remember anticipating getting my learners permit and eventually my drivers licenese. When i finally got it was like"meh". After i got my learners i didnt even start driving or practicing until like a month or two before my test. I think people make a big deal about it but then after the fact i dont think its such a big deal. For example i remeber when i was under 13 i also said to myself i cant wait till i get to watch all those pg 13 movies by myself. Afterwards i found myself watching feweer movies as that kind of thing became less and less important.

I am going to learn to drive the moment I turn 17 (one month today!)
The only reason I am going to is that my parents said they will pay for my lessons, otherwise I wouldn't be able to afford them.
I really want to start driving, because it means more independence. I will also be able to get to work without needing a lift from my mum, which I know is an inconvenience to her.

I'm not quite old enough but i can't wait to get my permit and license. Everytime i bring it up with my friends most can't wait for it. I'm not sure how mom felt about it but i have one friend who is scared of driving. That could be a reason. Have fun driving!

Well, I wanted to learn, I took drivers ed at 15, got my permit. My pregnant stepmom was the only one that would teach me to learn. After two lessons with her screaming and shrieking at me, I became terrified of driving. I did not learn until I was 21, and had two kids. My hubby basically forced me to take a driving class and get my license. Yes, I'm glad now that I have it, but boy I was ticked off back then.
