First off is anyone here from Alaska. Me and my friend are possibly looking to move up there and I just want to know what its like. We would probably move to anchorage, but we are not set on that. Anyways I just want to know stuff like whats the wheather like? How are the cities? Can you really have 4 ounces of weed? In general how are the people? and any other information you would like to share. Thank you very much.

I live in Alaska. It really isn't that great. Minimum wage is $7.15 but you also have to take into account that it costs a whole lot more to live here than it does down in the lower 48. Also, you CAN NOT have 4 ounces of weed. Who told you that load of bull? You can have up to an ounce in your home, but it is illegal to have it outside of your home, so in other words you can't buy it, you can't sell it, and you can't transport it... So how did it get into your home? Meaning, if you have it, you'll still get into trouble. Not to mention it gets terribly cold here. -30 and -40 in the winter and I'm in SOUTHERN Alaska where it's warmer than the rest of the state! Not to mention good jobs are few and far between. And forget working on the slope. Most people wait years to get hired there and have TONS of credentials.
