How to find your missing family members?

I believe you're talking about tracing your roots, so do correct me if I'm wrong.. You can start by asking your parents their place of origin, from what country they came from and what state/province. In most cases, the people from that certain place have the same surnames and that's where you'll mostly find out who your relatives are. They know more of their genealogy, their ancestral roots and their family tree.
