Which do you prefer a digital or analog clock?

Analog or digital clock? - analog clock

Since I'm blind as a bat I've always like the digital clocks much better than the old analog although I do have both in my apartment. The main digital that I use is a cheap one and lately some of the numbers haven't been looking exactly right on it and I've been having problems figuring out the time..lol...but right next to it I have an analog that I recently acquired and haven't really found a "home" for yet. My kitchen clock is an analog but it has a huge face which is exactly what I need given my poor eye sight. Which type of clock do you prefer? Do you have both in your house/apartment? Which do you look at most often if you do?

Wow! I would love to have a rooster crow every hour! That would be awesome for me since I"m such a time watcher for some reason. I have a feeling my hearing is the next thing to go on me and a loud rooster would be great!

I love roosters and chickens, and i have them in my kitchen..i have collected a lot of beautiful roosters and chickens over the years from family and friends,I have some really beautiful pieces..this rooster clock hangs on my wall, and it has a sensor on it so at night it does not crow, but it crows during daylight hours, but you can also turn the crower off if it bothers you, but i like it...

I prefer an analog clock for aesthetic reasons and also to encourage my little child in learning to tell time - a digital with large read out is great in the bedroom if you do not sleep with glasses on!

I remember when digital came out and my son was in elementary school....the teachers specifically told the parents not to get digital clocks because the kids would never learn to tell time. Great point!

I'm used to have analog clock. This had been the clocks were using at home. So Im more used to this.So anywhere I go, it's easier for me to look at the time in an analog clock..

I prefer the digital clocks. I only have them in my house. I used to have one of the analog clocks in my living room but it got broken and I never replaced it. I only have one in my bedroom and one in my living room on the entertainment center. If I had one of the analog clocks in my bedroom my eyes would be so tired I wouldn't be able to see what time it was unless I put it up to my face cause it's dark in there and when I wake up I'm still half asleep. lol

I like both the digital and analog style clocks, ctry, and also have both in my apartment. I do believe that I use the one on my computer more than any other, because I am on it so much. When I go into the other rooms I tend to glance towards the one on the microwave sooner than the analog that hangs above my entertainment center in the living room. I had a real struggle with learning to tell time the old-fashioned way, and I will never completely abandon the analogs as they are a reminder for me.

Definetly by far a digital clock is my favorite. Having to take meds for so long that can and did affect my eye sight, I can't see as well as I used to so getting a large display digital clock, I can see it from across the room. However, in time which is sooner than I'd like, I'm going to have to get a different alarm system for my hearing is really terrible, which is the bed vibrater alarm system. They're sooooo expensive though!

I have four wall clocks in my house. Among them there is one digital clock. All of them are battery powered and all are very accurate and lasting. The double A batteries used by the four clocks are equally lasting. I find that digital clock gives more precise reading of time whereas the analog couldn’t have this advantage.

My clocks are all digital. I like that I don't have o figure out is it 1:32 or 1:33.My watch is a digital and it has the seconds too. So if I need to count seconds, I can use my watch.

My clock radio in the bedroom is digital, but all other clocks in the house as well as my watch is analog. I probably use my watch more than anything else really.

To me a digital is easy to see "what time it is". But if you need to know "how much Time I have left" (as in getting someplace on time) an analog is better. And analog is referring to the hands style clock, not just numbers, correct? I mean to "see" it is 3:21 is fine, but then you have to add/subtract, whatever, to see how much time you have left before you have to be "there" at 3:45. But if you look at the hands on the clock, and see "20 minutes with a few "just in case", you know what you can/can't do to be on time.

i prefer digital clock. coz im always on the move. my life is fast paced. but i can do with a digital. but it has to have numbers and not just line indicators. i sometimes make mistakes reading time when there's no numbers.

Digital clock, no competition lol. It's so much easier to read, and when im in a hurry i have to stop for like 10 seconds to read what the analog clock says, but a digital takes about 1 second.

ANALOG!!!! I can turn my wrist and see I have 15 minutes till I need to be where I need to be. Digital, I have to look, see numbers and add up to see how much time I have left. Visual is better! Your mind doesn't have to work so hard! If you see 4:37 and need to be somewhere buy 5:00, you're adding, or whatever it is you have to do to find out how many moreminutes you have until you are late. But analog, you look, see 20 minutes (and a few for good measure!) and you're on your way! If you are giving time for the kids - and telling them they have to be back in 35 minutes, and digital says 7:18 - how well can you/they count up to get the time 35 minutes from now? But Analog - you look and "see" the time, so you can easily say "about 10 till 8" knowing that you are giving yourself a minute or two for one way or the other to accomodate life's little inconveniences!

Late at night I don't have my contacts in so digital is helpful. Especially the digital clocks that have the red lcd numbers. The rest of the time, it doesn't matter to me.I do like however when my daughter wakes up and comes to look at the clock. She says "Mommy, it 7 dot dot 1 3 time to get out of bed. It's so cute.
