I believe compliments are great for enhancing our self esteem. I would like to know what is the best one you have received? Who gave this compliment to you? Was it a friend, family member, partner, work colleague? Do compliments make you feel really good about yourself or are you not really phased by them. Also do you give compliments often? I know I could give people more compliments often. I try to give compliments, but sometimes I feel awkward do not know why.

the best compliment i always get wether it be from friends or people i know is when they ask me my age my reply 'is how old do you think i am' most people say about 30 once i was told 28! my reply is always 'thank-you for the compliment' in a very coy yet happy way as i am a lot older than that- if you were to ask i would tell you- but my personality is very bubbly and i try to always look after myself-thankfully and not bragging but i am always being told how pretty i am too,it does boost my esteem snd makes me feel good about myself---what is the best compliment you have ever had and how does it make you feel?

Yeah I like it when you get compliments of how you look younger then what you are. Hey you are allowed to brag in this discussion littleowl that is what my topic is asking, lol. I am a school teacher and some of the highschool students there asked me my age. I said I am double your age, they were shocked they thought I was about 22years old. I was really happy with that as I am 29 years old. Another compliment I got a few years ago, was that my partner at the time said he was the luckiest guy ever in the world to have me as a girlfriend. Even though I don't think that is true. It was great hearing that. I feel really good when complimented it makes me feel on top of the world, especially if it comes from someone I care deeply about.

To tell you the truth, I'm not good in receiving compliments. Th best compliment I ever received concerns my age, too. Some people say I don't look like a 28 year old. Most of those people are work colleagues and new friends.
When I see somebody that deserves a compliment, I give them one honest compliment. I also give compliments on little things, like accessories, dresses, etc. Also sometimes when I'm not close to someone, I feel awkward to give a compliment. Maybe because I don't now if that person will appreciate it as a compliment or an insult.

I have alot of people say how much my son looks exactly like me to the " T " and the other compliment I get is what a hard worker I am. Yes it makes me feel good. I give compliments as well.
